Josephine never felt quite ready to quit. Then one day she woke up and thought “today is the day”. She booked herself into the service and 3 months later she’s officially smoke-free! Here's her story:
"I had been wanting to stop smoking for a while, but I just wasn’t ready to quit. Then one day I woke and thought today is the day! I have been having mainly telephone appointments with Julia but have also attended the Wakefield One clinic. Talking to an Advisor each week has really helped me stay on track and found that using the nicotine patches was enough for me."
A keen swimmer, Josephine swims 6 days out of 7 and was regularly swimming 6 lengths at a time, now since her quit, she is managing 30!
"I love to dance, I used to be a Go-go dancer at Cinderella's in Leeds when I was younger, and still love to go dancing now, but before quitting I could only manage one dance before I was out of breath, now I am up all the time - especially when Proud Mary by Tina Turner comes on.
Another good thing about quitting is that I have a clean kitchen – I don’t have to take my nets down every 4 weeks to wash them, I've not taken them down in 3 months now. I am also getting my kitchen decorated with the money I have saved from not smoking".
Huge congratulations Josephine! We are so pleased for you and everything that you've achieved with us. Keep up the amazing work.
