Sonia, aged 80 decided to quit smoking because of Coronavirus as well as having had cancer 3 times. She didn't believe she could achieve 4 weeks smokefree after smoking for the majority of her life.

I used patches for 4 days and then went onto minis, the miniswere very good if I needed extra nicotine.

I did a few things to help me stay quit and smokefree, but mainly kept myself buysing, decorating, sewing and making curtains.

I have noticed that my health has improved since I quit, I don't get cold feet anymore and I am more active.

Other than my health, I have managed to save money which I am going to spend on the grandchildren.

I would say the current lockdown has helped me with the quit as it has made me realise how much the coronavirus can affect my health.

Accessing the service via the telephone has been really helpful for me as I am not going out at the minute.
