The support continues! Stoptober may be a month that just focuses on stopping smoking, but we are here year round to continue helping you with your quit. Whether this is with your weekly calls or support every now and again, we will still be here.

The support that is still available include:

Group Meetings - we still host group meetings for those who like the social aspect of smoking but still want to quit. You will be able to speak with other like minded people and hear how they are getting on with their quit.

One-to-Ones - this can be over a telephone call or a video call, your quit is all about quitting in a way that works best for you. We won’t abandon you after your 4 weeks quitting, we are here to support you and hit the milestones you want to, including the 52 week milestone.

Text Messages - if you have opted in to receive motivational text messages, this will continue and you will keep receiving texts to keep you going. These vary from day to day with the consistency as well as the messaging.

Smokefree App - if you have found the app useful, continue using this! It may change slightly to remove the Stoptober branding but this will still work the same way as before with telling you how many days you are smokefree as well as the money you have saved by not smoking.

If you are just beginning your stop smoking journey, we are still here to help! You can still benefit from the help and support from Stoptober, including downloading the app and taking part in our group sessions.

If you have been a previous client of Yorkshire Smokefree and have relapsed, we can still help. We have had clients over the past years come back to us after starting smoking again, and we have helped them become smokefree once more. It is important to remember that just because you slip up doesn’t mean that is the end of your stop smoking journey, you can carry on with your quit, just be honest with yourself.
