What was your main reason for accessing the service?
For my health, I had a really bad chest and was wheezing a lot. I wanted to feel better and I knew I had to try and quit.

Did you believe you could achieve 4 weeks smokefree?
I wanted to quit but was doubtful I would actually do it and stick to it

Have you used stop smoking medication to help you quit?
Champix

How helpful did you find it?
Very helpful, I would not have quit without it

Apart from medication, what else helped you to quit and stay smokefree?
As I started to feel better in myself, that spurred me on. Realising I'd not coughed that morning made me think this is worth it and I'm going to stick with it. I've also saved so much more money than I imagined. I've saved £280 per month!

Has your health improved since you quit and if so, in what ways?
I'm breathing much better and my wheezing has gone, even within a few days

Other than health, have you achieved anything since quitting that you couldn't do whilst smoking?
I have an extra £280 each month and I have so enjoyed treating people without worrying and budgeting. I was able to give my daughter some money towards her holiday that I otherwise couldn't have done and I've bought myself a lovely pair of new shoes!

Has the current lockdown helped with your quit or has this made quitting harder?
I think it helped me, there was no pressure from work colleagues or people checking up on me and then feeling bad if you hadn't done it.

What have you found helpful accessing the service via the telephone?
It's useful to know someone is backing you and supporting you
