Paul’s Story
I started smoking at the age of 21 and have been a smoker for over 28 years. I finally made the decision to quit smoking for my health, finances and, most importantly, the wellbeing of my children.
I accessed the one-to-one service through my local Smokefree clinic at Pindersfield Hospital and found that speaking to a professional along with the support I received face-to-face was really beneficial. I used the medication prescribed to help with cravings, and this combined with my personal determination helped in my success to quit and remain smoke free.
I knew that quitting smoking was the right thing to do and I’m so pleased I did – I now have more time and money to spend on my children! I was an idiot to ever start smoking and it has been difficult to quit but I am so happy I did.
