I was 11 when I first started smoking and I smoked for 52 years. I remember I started smoking because I caught my brother smoking so I had one with him.

On average I was smoking between 16 and 20 cigarettes. My main reason for quitting is because of my blocked arteries, I accessed the stop smoking support by using the telephone support option. I would rate the support I recieved as a 10/10.

I used patches to help me quit, this was helpful as well as vaping. The motivation to go to an elephant sactuary helped me to quit and stay smokefree.

My health has improved since quitting, I can walk further with the dog and I can get upstairs without any breathing problems.

I haven't achieved anything new since quitting, but I have more time to my self. I like that I can enjoy doing more things and I have better health since not smoking. I have managed to save £2000 by not smoking, and I am going to go on a cruise and spend time at an elephant sanctuary and I will be getting a new car.

If someone had recently started smoking, or if I could go back in time, I would say,
You can quit, it's the right state of mind, if I can do it anyone can. Smoking does not do you any good.
