Craig Postle recently quit smoking after smoking over 50+ cigarettes a day for 18 years. We caught up with him to find out his story!

I was 16 years old when I first started smoking with friends at school, I smoked for 18 years, and on average smoked 50+ cigarettes a day!

After stopping smoking for a couple of years, I started smoking again which proceeded in me having a second heart attack at only 34 years old.

This made me realise I needed to change something, I accessed the telephone support from the stop smoking support team and I could not give them a higher recognition, they were excellent and really helped me with this progress.

I used Champix to help quit and I found these really useful and they stopped my cravings!
The motivation to not have another heart attack has helped me to quit and stay smoke free, Stevie my advisor has been great and very down to earth.

My health has really improved since I quit and I can walk further without breathlessness, I am no longer coughing, and my fitness is generally better.

I like having the extra money from not smoking, the benefits of living longer and feeling less tired.

I have saved £6000 per year for myself and my partner for not spending money on cigarettes, this money is going to be spent on treating the kids.

If I could go back in time and tell my younger self before smoking the first cigarette that it’s a mugs game, don’t do it. You pay lots of money for nothing.
